Clothes should be properly looked after to make them last longer. Always read the care instructions accompanying or inside the garments.
• Clothes need brushing, airing, rest and cleaning. Natural fibres repel dirt - just a light brushing and airing keeps them clean and good-looking. When clothes are left to rest for a while, their fibres straighten out and the creases smooth away. The quality of the material also affects the way creases occurring during wear straighten out.
• Empty the pockets before hanging the garments up.
• It is important to have the right hanger for the right garment. Jackets require a broad hanger so that the shoulders remain straight. Trousers need a hanger where they can hang from the trouser legs. If a garment is 100% wool, press it after the first two or three times of wear. This will reduce the amount of creases and improve straightening. Wool straightens out in warm steam, for example in the bathroom after a shower.
